A Connecticut man is suspected of killing his elderly father and harvesting his organs on Saturday, according to multiple reports.
According to a Ridgefield Police Department (RPD) press release obtained by The Daily Caller, 31-year-old Steven James Uricchio is accused of killing his 83-year-old father, Mark Uricchio, during a domestic violence incident in Ridgefield, Connecticut on Saturday.
According to a press release, officers responded to the scene around 1 a.m. Saturday and discovered an elderly man deceased inside the home. A 31-year-old man was “taken into custody without incident.”

Attorney Willie Dow called the case a “Shakespearean tragedy.” according to News Times. This is the city's first murder in more than 20 years, the New York Post reports. report.

Responding officers searched Uricchio for weapons and reportedly found him sweating profusely and had what appeared to be blood on his hands, The News-Times reported, citing the police report.
When officers asked Uricchio what he had done, he reportedly replied, “I killed him.” He then added, “I killed him really, really badly,” according to the News-Times.
Uricchio reportedly told police his father was in a second-floor bedroom. There's blood In addition to the bloody fillet knife, bullets were also found lodged in the walls and on the stairs, The New Times reported.
According to the outlet, Mark Uricchio was found with his groin, face and abdomen severed, and “his internal organs were found outside his body.”
The 31-year-old man appeared in court on Monday afternoon, where his lawyer asked to remain on suicide watch, the outlet reported.
“I am concerned about my client's mental health,” Dow said.
RPD said the incident remains under investigation and that it is an “isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.”
