A transgender convicted child rapist severely beat a female inmate at a Canadian prison after confronting the man for staring at his children in the mother-baby ward, Reduxx reported Tuesday.
Adam Laboucan, a biological man convicted of violently raping a 3-month-old infant when he was 15, allegedly broke a female inmate’s ribs during a 2018 altercation. Laboucan, who began identifying as a woman in 2018 and changed her name to Tara DeSousa, was transferred to the Fraser Valley Institute for Women shortly after the altercation occurred.

According to Reduxx, before the new report was released, the incident was only vaguely cited in an April 2018 parole board decision that referred to Laboucan by female pronouns. The parole board also cited Laboucan’s Native American heritage as a mitigating factor against his guilt.
“The Commission finds that you have experienced negative intergenerational consequences as a result, and that many factors in your social and family history, including your involvement in the criminal justice system and your substance abuse problems, ,” the parole board wrote. redux.
Reduxx said the brutal attack, which was Laboucan’s first crime against a three-month-old child, resulted in him undergoing surgery. He also began eating his own flesh immediately after raping the child.
An expert witness at the trial said Laboucan had “every tendency to be transsexual to pedophilia.” According to To CBC.
