Transgenderism Is The Top Threat To Gen Z, Not Guns

Exploring the Crisis of Youth Violence

How often do we witness young Americans affected by serious issues? It’s heartbreaking, really. When will leaders acknowledge the true causes behind these tragedies?

This week brought another wave of horror to the U.S.: children lost their lives while praying in church. It’s a tragedy that leaves communities devastated. Yet, it seems like we often disregard the real narrative as media spins the situation and politicians rush to gain advantage. There’s a belief that transgender issues are linked to mental health crises, impacting children during vulnerable moments.

Why do we give adolescents blockers and hormonal treatments when we wouldn’t hand a drink to someone battling alcoholism?

The pattern is striking. Following such events, there’s a rush from the left to blame Republicans, guns, or conservatives. However, the reality often contrasts these claims. Time and again, these shootings occur in areas dominated by Democratic leaders, oftentimes involving individuals influenced by progressive views on gender. It’s remarkable—albeit sadly predictable—how some on the left deflect blame while perpetuating a culture that seems to fuel chaos.

As someone from Gen Z, I feel compelled to express this: the ideology surrounding transgender issues poses a significant threat to my generation. It disrupts lives, creates instability, and leads to confusion. This isn’t merely about “acceptance” or “compassion”; it often feels like young people who are already struggling are being exploited. When this mental health crisis escalates to violence, innocent children suffer as a result.

Progressives argue that kindness entails affirming personal identities, promoting hormone treatments, and sometimes keeping information away from parents. But what does this kindness yield? A life led astray, rising suicide rates, and classrooms filled with confusion. And tragically, we see the consequences with lives lost in prayer.

Many on the left refuse to see that their beliefs have consequences.

I’ve noticed these ideas pushed strongly on campus. Professors and administrators often prioritize gender ideology over substantial academic learning. There’s pressure on students to conform to these views before they even fully understand their own identities. Social media only intensifies these narratives, presenting transgender issues as a form of liberation.

It’s telling that the most vulnerable generations coincide with an overwhelming prevalence of gender ideology. Schools act as conduits for this indoctrination. It’s as if our institutions, alongside left-leaning politicians, struggle to admit the harm, as their entire agenda revolves around supporting this belief system.

If we genuinely want to reduce violence and prevent churches and schools from becoming scenes of tragedy, addressing mental health honestly is essential. That includes shielding children from experimental gender treatments and reinstating parents’ rights in education. Rather than celebrating confusion, we need to treat mental well-being with the seriousness it deserves. It necessitates leaders who are brave enough to speak truths, even if they face harsh backlash from activists.

A potential solution lies in the U.S. examining the actions of its European counterparts. The Cass Review, a report in the UK, raised alarm bells regarding the use of adolescent blockers and cross-hormones, citing a lack of reliable evidence about the safety or effectiveness of these methods in the long term. Following this, the UK and several other European nations decided to pause these treatments for minors.

If they can do it, why can’t we? The Department of Health and Human Services could swiftly implement a halt on these experimental procedures until more reliable clinical evidence emerges. Anything less seems irresponsible, prioritizing ideology over solid evidence.

While critics may continue to blame Republicans, it doesn’t change the truth. This latest tragedy, like previous ones, stemmed from a worldview that has permeated my generation. As calls for “gun control” echo loudly, there’s a glaring epidemic that remains unaddressed—the surge of confusion fueled by recent ideologies.

Children were lost in prayer this week because our society continues to affirm faulty narratives. Unless a course correction happens soon, it’s bound to occur again.

Gen Z doesn’t require more targeted messaging or empty slogans. What’s needed is straightforward truth. The truth is that transgender ideology presents a significant mental health challenge. If America fails to confront it, the next tragedy won’t just be a possibility; it will be inevitable.
