City leaders from the cities of Lake Havasu, Kingman and Bullhead will meet on Wednesday for their quarterly meeting to discuss and hear updates on a variety of topics of interest to all three of Mojave County’s largest cities.
The Tri-City Council, made up of mayors from all three cities, will meet at the Bullhead City Council this quarter. The meeting will begin at 9:30 am at 1255 Marina Blvd.
The meeting agenda includes legislative updates from the Arizona Federation of Municipalities. League membership includes nearly 90 cities and towns across the state, including all three of his members of the Tri-City Council. The league actively lobbies state legislatures on legislation affecting cities and towns and advises members on how to comply with new laws as they are passed.
The Tri-City Council will also discuss roadworks on Wednesday. This includes updates from the Arizona Department of Transportation regarding state road projects currently under construction or under construction in the northwest corner of the state. This is followed by an update from the Rural Traffic Advocacy Board. This includes efforts underway in the Legislature to pay for additional transportation projects in rural areas next fiscal year.
Mojave County Public Health Commissioner Chad Kingsley will also make a presentation on the council’s senior center and diet during the conference.
As always, the Three-City Council agenda also includes updates from the Mojave County Supervisory Board and other elected officials in attendance, as well as updates from the mayors of all three cities. increase.
