Troy Stubbs declares his candidacy for reelection in House District 31

Representative Troy Stubbs Launches Reelection Campaign for Alabama House

Representative Troy Stubbs, known as a steadfast conservative voice championing District 31 values, has announced his bid for reelection to the Alabama House of Representatives. This district includes part of Elmore County.

A Republican, Stubbs was elected in 2022 with a focus on maintaining conservative principles within government and serving the people of Elmore County. Since taking office, he has established himself as a strong supporter of capitalism, local education, and the Second Amendment.

“Representing the hardworking families in the 31st District has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” Stubbs remarked. “Now more than ever, we need leaders who fight for conservative values while ensuring our government delivers the efficient services that businesses and communities expect.”

Stubbs, a small business advocate, emphasizes his commitment to reducing waste and improving quality of life for citizens in Elmore County. “I believe in Alabama’s promises — where faith, family, and freedom take precedence,” he noted. “Your support will empower me to strengthen our community and hold our government accountable.”

Currently, Stubbs participates in the House of Representatives’ Commerce and Small Business Committee, the Methods and Means of Education, and the County and City Government Committee.

Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Stubbs is the son of a college football coach. He met his wife, Jenny, who has deep roots in Elmore County, and earned a Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Alabama. He also holds a Master’s in Secondary Mathematics from Alabama State University and another Master’s in Sports Management from Louisville University.

Living in Wetumpka, Troy and Jenny have been married for 25 years and have four children: Isaac, Elsa, Lucas, and Bennett. He works as a financial advisor at First Community Bank in Central Alabama.

Troy is deeply involved in his community, coaching youth sports teams in YMCA basketball, Dixie Youth Baseball, and AYSO soccer. Additionally, he has organized philanthropic efforts to support initiatives like the Elmore County Hippie Program, Camp Hope, and the Elmore County Food Pantry. He serves on the Institutional Advisory Committee of JF Ingram State Institute of Technology and has held board positions with organizations such as the Alabama County Commissions Association and Wetumpka YMCA.

Before his election to the Alabama House of Representatives, he served as chairman of the Elmore County Commission.
