A truck driver has been charged with attempted murder after an argument escalated at an Arizona truck stop, police said.
Quan Stevens Arline, 55, a Georgia-based truck driver, was arrested on a felony charge of attempted second-degree murder. Mohave County Sheriff's Office (MCSO).
Police said the charges were filed after an incident that occurred on February 4, 2024, at a truck stop off Highway 95 in Lake Havasu, Arizona.
MCSO responded to a call about two truck drivers getting into an argument, in which the suspect (later identified as Erlin) pulled a knife from his pocket and cut the victim in the neck area.
Deputies were advised that Arline left the truck stop after the incident.
When MCSO arrived on scene, they found the victim truck driver awake and conscious, but with injuries consistent with the reported incident. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
After reviewing the video and gathering statements from witnesses, MCSO called Arline. He said he was already in another state and “has no intention of returning.”
An arrest warrant was issued.
On February 16, Arlin turned himself in at the Lake Havasu Police Department and described the altercation that occurred during the truck stop.
At the conclusion of this report, Arline was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman.
