Miami Dolphins’ Disappointing Season Takes Another Hit
I’ve been trying to find something positive to say… I guess at least we have a cane, right?
This has been a really tough season for my Miami Dolphins. Seriously, it’s been rough. After being completely overwhelmed by the Indianapolis Colts and suffering a home loss against the New England Patriots for the first time in six seasons, things just kept getting worse. They were expected to win against the Buffalo Bills, but that didn’t happen. To add to the embarrassment, they also lost to the Carolina Panthers. Not a good look.
It’s pretty frightening, especially since our only victory this year came against the New York Jets, who are, well, a mess themselves. I mean, even the Cleveland Browns might fit into that category. We barely managed to squeeze out a win against the Jets, and that’s saying something. I can’t help but shake my head.
So, during the nail-biting final moments of Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers, it seemed like the Dolphins might finally pull off a win. Tua Tagovailoa threw a touchdown pass to Darren Waller, giving us a glimmer of hope and a 27-26 lead. It was a turn from the earlier score of 26-13.
But, of course, this is the Dolphins we’re talking about. After being a fan for 34 years (almost 35!), I’ve seen my share of heartbreak. So, why would this time be any different?
As expected, the Chargers quickly marched into field goal territory and, without any fuss, secured the win. Stress-free? Not even close. Just a joke.
After the game, Tagovailoa, who was meant to be our leader, didn’t hold back, criticizing the team’s issues and making the season feel even worse. “I think it starts with leadership and communicating clearly what our expectations are,” he mentioned. He pointed out that some players have been arriving late to online meetings and missing team meetings altogether. There’s quite a bit that needs sorting out.
It’s disheartening, really—being a Dolphins fan, sigh… just more anguish. I’m signing off for now, feeling a bit down. *Takes off the paper bag and logs out.*
