Tuberville urges diplomacy to end war in Ukraine

Sen. Tommy Tuberville called for negotiations and diplomacy to end the Ukraine war in an interview with Fox Business' Larry Kudlow.

“We need to end this for the American people, for the Ukrainians, for the Russians,” said Tuberville (R-Auburn). “This needs to end, but no one wants to talk about it.”

The senator told Kudlow that the endless flow of money into Ukraine is a big mistake, and those who are allowing it have no real solutions on how to end the conflict.

“The people in Washington DC don’t know how to get out of this situation after we have already given them (Ukrainians) $120 billion. So what shall we do? We are going to double down ” Tuberville said. “We’re going to send them another $60 billion of taxpayer money in a way that we don’t have.”

During the interview, Tuberville called for diplomacy and referenced a recent interview between former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and Russian President Vladimir Putin, showing the Russian leader was open to peace. said.

Tuberville also spoke out on the Senate floor this week about the lack of negotiations.

“We are yet to see any diplomatic efforts by this administration,” he said. “Joe Biden's diplomatic idea is to send Antony Blinken to Israel and tell Israel to delay the Gaza war. That's not diplomacy.

“Ukraine needs real diplomacy.”
