Sen. Tuberville Defends ICE Agents Amid Controversies
U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) has come forward to defend Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, rejecting comparisons made between them and the Nazis.
Tom Homan, who previously served under President Trump, stated this week that ICE officers and federal agents face increasing attacks, with incidents rising nearly 700% compared to last year.
Recent charges have been filed by the U.S. Department of Justice against ten individuals connected to a shooting on July 4th, where a corrections officer was shot outside the Prairiland Detention Center in Texas.
In a discussion with Fox Business on Tuesday, Tuberville was joined by U.S. Senator Rick Scott (R-FLA).
“First and foremost, what the Biden administration has done over the past four years, with their open borders policy, has been disastrous,” Tuberville expressed.
He continued, “Senator Scott and I have had discussions about the main issues at hand. If one educates themselves on the laws and order in this country, the potential for financial benefit is there.”
The attack on ICE agents is a direct result of Democrats’ radical, extreme, violent language.
In America, they don’t shoot police.
My message to all law enforcement officers under attack.
Tuberville criticized some of his Democratic colleagues in recent weeks for inflammatory rhetoric regarding ICE agents. He insists that the situation was intentional, claiming it’s a strategy to empower groups that want to control law enforcement. “That won’t be happening. I fully support ICE. If they need to protect themselves, they should. Don’t back down from anyone. We need to take our country and our communities back,” he concluded.
