Tucker Carlson Show Surges Past Joe Rogan, Becomes Most Popular Podcast In America

The Tucker Carlson Show leapfrogged the hugely popular Joe Rogan Experience to the top spot on Spotify's U.S. podcast charts on Thursday.

The podcast, which Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson launched in December after he was fired from Fox News last April, took the top spot on Thursday. Subsequent Logan the day before.

The podcast has been a huge success, garnering tens of millions of views on YouTube alone since its launch. (Related: Tucker Carlson's social media comeback video got more views than the entirety of Fox News)

The most recent episode, featuring Dr. Ben Carson, garnered more than 160,000 views in the first four hours after it was released.

The show also ranked #4 on Apple's podcast charts.

Rogan is the epitome of a long-time champion at the top of the podcast charts, having held the throne for 15 years since launching his podcast in 2009. Carlson, on the other hand, only took four months to rise to the top spot.

His podcast has featured many prominent guests from across the ideological spectrum, including left-wing journalist Glenn Greenwald, fired CBS reporter Catherine Herridge, comedian Ari Schaffer, and Republican Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie.

After parting ways with Fox, Carlson launched the Tucker Carlson Network, a new streaming platform dedicated to “telling the clear, fearless truth about things that matter,” according to his website.

Building on the popularity of his podcast and new network, Carlson has launched a multi-city speaking tour, with front-row tickets to some parts of the tour costing as much as $18,000.
