There hasn't been much good news in the Alabama Crimson Tide transfer portal since Nick Saban retired and Karen DeBoer took over.
But perhaps DeBoer stopped the bleeding over the weekend, having not had a portal entry since Julian Sane on Friday and then securing two transfers from his former team, Washington.
On Saturday, DeBoer was able to fill one of the team's biggest needs by acquiring center Parker Brailsford. Brailsford was a first-team All-American as a freshman and was named second-team All-Pac-12 as a member of the University of Washington offensive line, which won the Joe Moore Award as the nation's best unit.

Brailsford started all 15 games for the Huskies as a redshirt freshman, 15 at center and the other two at guard.
In addition to Brailsford, guard Tyler Booker returns to the starting lineup. jayden Roberts may form one of the best interior offensive lines in the country.
Following the Brailsford news, DeBoer re-committed wide receiver Jermie Bernard to Washington on Sunday night. Bernard is a very important piece to Alabama's receiver unit following the departure of Isaiah Bonds.
Bernard had 34 receptions for 419 yards and two touchdowns, averaging more than 20 yards per kick return.
Bernard, a Las Vegas native, is a four-star prospect in the 2022 class and was Nevada's Gatorade Player of the Year in 2021. He has been noted for his after-the-catch ability and could be dangerous as a route runner.
With the departure of Isaiah Bonds, the departure of Jermaine Burton to the NFL, and the departure of tight end Amari Niblack to Texas, Alabama's pass-catching group will take on a new look.
DeBoer seems to be steadying the ship and starting to shape the roster that will compete in Tuscaloosa this fall.
