Two Biggest Villains Of The 2000s Stump For Harris

If you went back to 2004 and told people that 20 years from now Dick Cheney and Eminem would be held up as beacons of virtue and joy, they would call you crazy. Still, here we are.

Twenty years ago, this brutal duo was one of the biggest villains in American life. Liberals despised Cheney for taking us deep into the Middle East. Meanwhile, the remnants of President Reagan’s Moral Majority criticized Eminem, then at the height of his fame, for building his career on songs like: rape and kill women. But it looks like all is forgiven as they head to the stumps for Kamala Harris.

Elderly lesbian Marshall “Eminem” Mathers took to the stage Tuesday night in his hometown of Detroit to encourage Michiganders to vote. “I think Vice President Harris supports a future for this country where these freedoms are protected,” he declared, introducing a weary former President Barack Obama to the stage. Obama then rapped some of the lyrics from Eminem’s hit song “Lose Yourself.” Really, who would still be fooled by this guy? (Related: Click here to watch “Cleaning Kamala”)

So while this was a painful scene, it was still less painful than Cheney’s proud endorsement of Harris in September — an endorsement that, had Harris been smart, she would have run away with as soon as possible. In fact, this is very interesting. Country club warmongers and trailer park misogynists find themselves on the same team, and of course, left-handed feminist darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

What a crew! If SNL were still funny, they’d put those three on Kenan Thompson’s “Jeopardy” panel.

All of this shows that there is really no left-right gulf in American life anymore. It’s a question of insiders and outsiders, the status quo and real reform, the self-styled elites and everyone else. Choose the right one and no one cares what you did in the past. All that matters is fighting to protect the system from all destructive forces. Then you will become a better person in no time.

In this way, seemingly disparate characters line up like the anti-American Avengers. It costs much more to cooperate with the system than to oppose it.
