A British UFO researcher claimed on Monday that he had finally “solved” two of the UK's biggest mysteries.
UFO researcher Mark Christopher Lee Said According to the Express, he believes the Rendlesham UFO incident and the Calvin UFO photo could have been early prototypes used by the British and US military, despite them being cited by UFO researchers as two shining examples of unexplained occurrences.
“I've looked at all these documents and it appears there have been numerous sightings of diamond-shaped craft since the 1970s, particularly around military bases in the UK,” Lee told the outlet, claiming to have looked into other people's UFO files so he certainly could be trusted (not that he is). “There seems to be a connection. Could the Calvin UFO be secret military technology, either ours or an enemy country's? Why does this diamond-shaped craft appear to be accompanying a military jet?”

The Culbine UFO incident is literally just six photographs taken by two hikers in Scotland in 1990 of a diamond-shaped aircraft speeding through the sky, followed closely by two Harrier fighter jets. The photos became UFO legend when the hikers sent them to the Scottish Daily Record, but they were never published. They only became publicly known in 1996 after former Ministry of Defence civil servant Nick Pope made them public.
“Culvine is just 100 or so miles from the secret RAF base at Machrihanish on the Kintyre peninsula where a US spy plane codenamed Aurora was rumoured to be operating,” Pope said of the photograph. “It's notable that the Culvine UFO was spotted just two days after Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait – this could be a major clue.”

“Here we see just a few examples of the diamond-shaped craft that began to appear in the late 1970s and 1980s, possibly the same or similar type of craft as the one photographed at Calvine in Scotland,” Lee continued. “Are we dealing with our own technology that is still being kept secret, or is it something extraterrestrial that the Ministry of Defence and military know about?” (RELATED: Expert claims NASA is 'secretly funding' theological conference over fears of 'Satanic' UFOs)
But here's the thing: there are no actual reports of any diamond-shaped flying objects being seen during the Rendlesham UFO incident.
The story of the Rendlesham incident is basically that military personnel (most of whom were actually American) working at twin bases in the UK witnessed a UFO, supposedly as a prank by bored British soldiers on their Christmas holidays in 1980.
“he, [Rendlesham] “Two men were standing on the Suffolk coast at night, about 20 miles from RAF Coltishall, when they saw the same diamond-shaped object flying over the coast. This object was also silent. Their sighting came about 12 months after mine,” said British police officer Brett Lyne, who saw a possible diamond-shaped UFO shortly before the Rendlesham incident. Diamond-shaped UFOs are almost certainly just typical military technology. Most UFO sightings are probably connected to the military around the world. And until those little green men come down, I'll remain skeptical about it all.
