ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Two Albuquerque men have been arrested in Arizona on felony charges of human smuggling. On Tuesday, February 27, 20-year-old Tuyet Kozlowski and 21-year-old Shane Johnson were booked into the Cochise County Jail after six illegal immigrants were found in their vehicle.
According to the Cochise County Sheriff's Office, authorities received a tip Tuesday morning about a possible contraband vehicle near Douglas, Arizona. The Arizona Department of Public Safety worked with the sheriff's office to locate the vehicle.
After having “consensual contact” with Mr. Kozlovsky and Mr. Johnson, law enforcement found six illegal immigrants in the vehicle, which displayed a “fictitious license plate.” I discovered that. The two Albuquerque men were taken into custody and the illegal immigrant was turned over to Border Patrol agents.
