The Alabama Crimson Tide bounced back from a disappointing loss to Florida in week 1, securing two consecutive victories and heading into their bye week with a 2-1 record, all set for a matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens in two weeks.
Defensively, Alabama has shown improvement, albeit against weaker opponents. However, the standout development has been from quarterback Ty Simpson, who has notably changed his game. After struggling in Tallahassee, he’s made significant progress recently, still managing not to turn the ball over.
Following a solid 38-14 win over Wisconsin, Simpson credited his stability to his faith. He believes it all starts with his relationship with Christ.
Ty Simpson on where his confidence came from:
“I have confidence from the Lord… I pray before every game. I pray every morning before going to the building.” He says, “I also gain confidence from my teammates. I have a really good soccer team.” pic.twitter.com/exj0sd8ynh

“My confidence comes from the Lord,” Simpson shared. “I pray before each game and every morning before heading to practice. I know it’s a blessing to play at the University of Alabama, and I ask for wisdom and strength.” He emphasized that this faith also uplifts his teammates.
“We draw confidence from each other, and we’ve got a really solid football team,” he mentioned. “The defense is playing well, and our offense is connecting on many levels.” As he looks ahead to Athens, he seems untroubled. “I don’t expect anything to change. We just have to maintain our focus.”
This collective attitude is reflected in their performance on the field.
In the last two games, Simpson completed 41 of 46 passes for 608 yards and seven touchdowns, all without any interceptions for the season.
If he continues with his prayers, preparations, and performance, Alabama is poised for a successful season ahead.
