Current middleweight UFC champion Sean Strickland appeared on comedian Theo Von's podcast and showed off some wild takes, one of which was outrageous.
Mr. Strickland made some great points about how flexible everyone is today, especially Americans.
“The world is getting so fucking soft,” Strickland told Von in an interview.
“We live in this world now where people can say whatever they want, but I don't think that helps make it this hard for people,” he continued.
“I mean, it's like you can go online right now. You can go to the interwebs and start telling you to fuck off. Fuck your mom. Fuck your girlfriend. . Fuck you, and no matter what you do, there's going to be trouble, ”said the fighter. “If you did something to me, you would go to jail…but we weren't always like that.”
Strickland then pointed to former President Andrew Jackson as an example of a time when we were not flexible, calling him “one of the greatest presidents ever.” (Related: Mixed martial arts superstar Khamzat Chimaev posts shocking photo revealing illness that cost him title fight)
“This man killed a man for insinuating that his wife was a prostitute. He killed this man for the pure implication, “Your wife is a prostitute.'' One of the greatest men of our time. And now it's like the government is slowly taking nuts away from people. ”
Mr. Strickland was probably referring to the 1806 duel between Mr. Jackson and Tennessee lawyer Charles Dickinson. according to Kentucky History reports that “the argument between the two began after Dickinson made a comment about Jackson's wife, Rachel.”

Strickland is scheduled to defend his middleweight title against Drikas du Plessis at UFC 297 next month.
