On Monday, a video of what appeared to be a UFO flying over the island of Ibiza went viral.

video share A video posted to Twitter shows a group of people sitting on a cliff on a Mediterranean island off the coast of Spain watching a beautiful sunset, when the woman filming and someone else start running and pointing at the sky as a fuzzy white object flies over them.

When the object comes into focus it appears to stand still for a moment, but in fact what you are looking at is not a UFO, but the moon shining brightly over the ocean. For a moment it seems an absurd sight, and then the object under the moon flies away with a speed beyond the reach of human technology.

I've seen a lot of UFO videos, but this one was a little scary. (Related: Multiple people believe they saw a UFO over one state, but no one has denied it yet.)

This is the kind of clickbait that appears at the beginning of a show. Discovered footage A horror movie. A woman appears to point at something in the sky and scream, “Look! Look! Look!”. There is a collective gasp as the object hurtles off into the atmosphere. This clip has all the ingredients for a horror story recipe book.

So, this is either one of the best staged UFO encounters of all time, or it's the real deal.
