If you were born in the last century… in 1900… you may have spent summer nights watching movies in your car. Not on the phone, but at the drive-in cinema!

If you were in Sioux Falls in the 1970s and 80s, you might remember seeing one. chin and indiana jones and East Park or Starlight Drive-inBoth drive-ins opened shortly after World War II. East Park couldn’t get out of his 70’s and closed in 1978. Starlight survived long enough to see Home his video birth and closed in 1985.

Drive-in movies have had a bit of a resurgence during the pandemic. It was a way to get out and do social things without getting out of the car.
