PHOENIX — 2023 is off to a strong start when it comes to Greenlee County unemployment.
Greenlee County maintained its status as the state’s lowest unemployment county in December, after the unemployment rate dropped a tenth of a percentage point in December, according to data released by the Arizona Department of Commerce last Thursday. 2.4% to 2.3% in January.
Meanwhile, Graham County’s unemployment rate rose 0.4 percentage points to 3.1% in January. But despite the increase, Graham has her fourth-lowest unemployment rate in the state, behind Greenlee, Maricopa at 2.8% and Yavapai at 3%.
Nearby Cochise County also gained 0.4 points to 4% in January.
