United Airlines Flight Attendant Who Accused NFL Hall Of Famer Terrell Davis Of Hitting Him Gets Fired

United Airlines told the Daily Caller that the flight attendant who alleged that NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Davis punched her has since been fired.

The new details stem from a July 13 incident involving former Broncos running back Said After the flight attendant claimed he had been punched, he was wrongfully handcuffed and escorted off the plane. United Airlines said the flight attendant was “no longer employed by United.”

The day after the incident, United Airlines sent the NFL star a letter banning him from flying with the airline. United released the full letter to the Daily Caller, which read, “This serves as notice to you to be barred from flying with United Airlines or any regional airline operating under the name United Express.”

United said the letter was “withdrawn and communicated to Mr. Davis' legal team” on July 15 and 16.

Davis and his lawyers claim United never said the ban had been lifted. Said On Tuesday, they heard “for the first time” that the ban had been lifted.

“United claims that this information was already passed on to Mr Davis' family through his lawyers. This is clearly false,” Davis' lawyers said in a statement.

“We continue to be disappointed by the inappropriate and disrespectful handling of this horrific incident by United Airlines' public relations and legal departments,” his lawyers said, also calling for a “thorough review” of the airline's management.

The letter said the ban would remain in effect until the airline's Passenger Accident Investigation Board could investigate the accident. The airline said the ban was “in accordance with” its “legal obligations” that require it to refuse service to passengers who pose a risk to the safety of others.

During the July 13 incident, Davis appeared to try to get the attendant's attention after her son asked for ice, saying, ” [him] And I tapped him lightly on the arm to get his attention.” The 51-year-old was flying from Denver to Orange County with his family.

The attendant reportedly yelled, “Don't hit me!” Davis said officials boarded the plane when it landed and handcuffed him. (RELATED: Newly released video shows NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Davis being escorted off a plane by the FBI).

“FBI agents and local authorities went directly to my seat, and without explanation, they immediately handcuffed me, leaving me seated in front of my wife and children, while the entire passenger population looked on in silence,” Davis said.
