University of Montevallo fishing team earns fourth consecutive School of the Year title

Nearly 200 of the top collegiate angler teams from across the nation competed over two days for the title, but for the fourth consecutive year, the Falcons were named Team of the Year again, having earned the most points throughout the season of any team in the nation. The team finished the season with 40,305 points, nearly 4,000 points ahead of second place.

The School of the Year title capped off another stellar year for the fishing team. Several UM anglers made history this season. The Falcons will compete for their fifth consecutive Bass Pro Shops School of the Year title, to be awarded at the 2025 Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Championships on May 22-23 at Lake Hartwell in Anderson, South Carolina.
