BULLHEAD CITY, Arizona – June 9, 2023 – The Bullhead City Police Department has arrested a 16-year-old man on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder against another 16-year-old.
On Monday, June 5, at approximately 10:40 p.m., police were called to Rotary Park with a report of a vehicle shooting near Firebird Football Field. The victim, a 16-year-old man who was shot in the head, is currently in a hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, in critical but stable condition.
During the course of the investigation and numerous interviews, a 16-year-old boy was identified as the shooter. Reportedly still having trouble with another boy from the group who was shot multiple times at Rotary Park. The 16-year-old victim who was shot was reportedly not targeted or involved in previous issues or conflicts. No other injuries were reported.
Additional charges are pending against two other teenage boys as accomplices in the attempted murder. Investigation is ongoing.
The boy will be held at the Mojave County Juvenile Detention Center in Kingman.
