The U.S. men's national team Group stage 1-0 defeat They will face Uruguay on home soil on Monday at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
66th minute, Defender Mathias Olivera Uruguay eventually scored the winning goal, but the goal was strongly protested by the U.S. team and the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) conducted a lengthy review for a possible offside. Panama and Bolivia were playing in Orlando, Florida, and with Panama leading 3-1 in the final Group C match, the U.S. Men's National Team needed a win to advance to the Round of 16 as the runner-up to group winners Uruguay.
That didn't happen, and the U.S. was eliminated from the Copa as a result. That said, it's hard not to attach a big asterisk to this loss.
