US Soccer Gets Copa América Off To A Good Start With 2-0 Win Over Bolivia … Can They Win It All?

America! America! United States of America!

U.S. Men's National Team Superstar Christian Pulisic He was in top form on Sunday night, scoring a goal inside the third minute of the game and adding another with an assist from the striker. Folarin Balogun They scored one in the 44th minute. And with this amazing performance, the U.S. 2-0 victory They beat Bolivia in the opening match of the Copa America.

Pulisic is the only player in U.S. national team history to record a goal and an assist in a Copa America match, along with fellow national team legend Clint Dempsey, and he has also scored 30 goals in 69 international matches, the most by any American player.

The United States, one of six teams invited to the South American Championship, is expected to advance to the knockout stages from Group C. The other team in the group is expected to be Uruguay.

So, the million-dollar question: Will the U.S. win the Copa America?

Well, we may have a “golden generation” but we've never won the competition in its history, and even if we do manage to establish ourselves we'll be up against Lionel Messi's Argentina, Brazil (who are in disarray at the moment so might give us an advantage) and of course the rest of South America.

Let's also not forget that Bolivia is on a terrible streak in the Copa, having lost 13 straight games — in fact, they've only lost once in their last 31 matches in the tournament — so it's hard to gauge exactly how good the U.S. was in this match.

Do we have a chance of winning? (RELATED: Just when you thought Shaq couldn't get any cooler, he made it so by DJing at a Cleveland Guardians post-game concert)

I'll say it this way: I have higher than normal expectations for the USMNT because of the talent and expectations surrounding this program. There is certainly pressure to deliver success.

But will we win?

We can only sit back and watch it.
