Utah State’s Andre Seldon Jr. Dies In Drowning

Utah State University announced that cornerback Andre Seldon Jr. drowned in a reservoir in Utah on Saturday. He was 22 years old.

“Multiple witnesses spoke of the same information and after an investigation we believe this was a tragic accident,” the Cache County Sheriff's Office told ESPN.

Seldon had 37 solo tackles (16 assists), one forced fumble and one interception for the New Mexico State Aggies after transferring through the portal in 2023. He was also a team captain.

Seldon transferred to Utah State in early 2024 after spending the past two seasons at New Mexico State.

He was set to start classes at Utah State University this fall.
