Valle Vista golfers dominate on home course | Kingman Daily Miner

Valle Vista – There has never been a place like home for Valle Vista golfers. as they dominated his eighth round of the Battle of Mojave Team Golf Tournament at his home course on Monday, March 6.

The Valle Vista Regiment showed their magic on local courses by dominating the team competition while dominating individual scoring.

Valle Vista’s Dave Kroo defeated Mike Hauffe in a tiebreaker to take first place. 21 points for both.

Close behind were Dave Ortega on 20 points, Glenn Barfknecht on 19 points, Stan Mirovaliev and Walt Nelson as Valle Vista dominated the first six spots.

River’s Edge captain Sheryl Hudson led the squad with 18 points, while Craig Price also led the Chaparral Country Club squad with 18 points.

Lee Terian led the team at Los Lagos Golf Course to score 15 points, including a rare Net Double Eagle.

Kingman John Hines, Robert Cassie and captain Brian Hill all scored 14 points to lead a balanced attack.

With one race left in the season, Valle Vista is firmly established in both the team and individual points races.

Valle Vista’s C team (460 points) leads the A team by only 3 points, while the Valle Vista B team is third with 410 points.

In the individual rankings, Valle Vista’s Hauff leads the season title by 19 points, while fellow Valle Vista fellows Crewe, Nelson, Milovaliev, Ortega, Paul Carpenter and Barfknecht are all in the top ten.

Hudson of River’s Edge is third.

Battle No. 9 will take place on Monday, March 13th at Laughlin Ranch Golf Club at 1360 William Hardy Drive in Bullhead City.

The final round will take place on Monday 20th March at Los Lagos Golf Course (6365 S. Entrada Via Verdes, Fort Mohave).
