‘Very Easy To Answer’: Trump Is Asked What A Woman Is During Press Conference

President Donald Trump offered his views on what a woman is after Democrats were unable to answer questions for several years.

According to the president, women are biological women who have been “treated very badly” by identifying men competing on sports teams. Trump highlighted his answer at a press conference Friday following the oath of White House counselor Alina Haba, who serves as New Jersey’s interim US lawyer.

“What is a woman? Why is it important to understand the difference between women and men?” a reporter asked during the meeting.

“Well, women are people who can have babies under certain circumstances, people who have equality, women are far more clever than the men I’ve always found, women are people who don’t even give men a chance to succeed,” Trump replied. “And often, this crazy question of what happens in this crazy, men can play in women’s sports, is a woman who is treated so badly because I think it’s ridiculously, very unfair to women and very despicable to women.”

“It should be about 94%. Today is a 94% problem, and I saw the other day. I saw the fact that Congresswomen, Democrats should be allowed to essentially compete in women’s sports and said, ‘I’m hoping to continue doing that because we won’t win another election.'” That’s a big deal, but women are basically incredible people and do a lot for our country. Senate Democrats voted along the party line to block laws aimed at codifying Trump’s executive orders to prevent men from competing in women’s sports. Georgia Democratic Sen. John Ossoff has been criticized for voting against the law as he overwhelmingly supports his state’s ban on women’s competition in sports.

Democrats struggled or refused to give the term “woman.” Most well-known, Supreme Court assistant judge Ketanji Brown Jackson said at a confirmation hearing in May 2022 that she can’t define what a woman is because she is “not a biologist.”

US Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn said she was one of Biden’s judicial candidates who ordered the federal government to send men to women’s prisons to define what a woman is at a confirmation hearing in June.

A single Democrat senator could not define this period after daily callers contacted all Senator offices in April 2022.

During a tense exchange with Republican Georgia Rep. Andrew Clyde, former Biden-era US Education Bureau Miguel Cardona also refused to define the term “woman” in April 2023 when she testified about the expansion of Title IX proposed by the Biden administration to include gender identity. Biden-era regulations prohibited schools from preventing students from participating in activities that are gender-related to gender identity.

The Biden administration’s Department of Health and Human Services provided more than $700,000 in January 2024 to help create a national pregnancy prevention program for transgender juveniles.
