‘Very Tentative’: Brit Hume Warns Against Relying On Early Iran Strike Reports

Brithume raised questions about the preliminary reports that were called “very interim” and “early” to Fox News in a preliminary report on damage caused by US airstrikes at Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Natasha Berthland at CNN It has been reported An assessment by the Early Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) suggesting that US bombings at three Iranian nuclear sites have been delayed by just a few months. When appearing in the “Special Report with Bret Baier,” Hume said that such early assessments, particularly accuracy with regard to underground damage, cannot be confirmed with certainty within the first 48-72 hours.

“The best thing you can say about the preliminary report that leaked yesterday was that it was very tentative and very early on. And it was marked as low confidence. And you know you can learn about underground damage caused by a massive bombing of 48 or 72 hours since it happened. “No one is in a position to evaluate it within the reach of the Defense Intelligence Agency that I’ve ever heard of.”

Hume aimed at CNN to rely on sources that she said she had a suspicious track record.

clock:

“We have reporters working on this story, especially those who work for CNN, who have fallen to Steele Dossier, Hook, Line and Sinker. [about] I bought a Hunter Biden laptop and its story [it] It was a disinformation about Russia. And someone, she wasn’t working for CNN at the time. It’s not clear how she got the job there, but CNN took her with her anyway,” Hume added.

Hume said the subsequent intelligence report was more reliable, but he urged caution and said the situation would require more time and ground investigation. (Related: Almost everyone dumped cold water on CNN reports, causing minor damage to Iranian nuclear weapons sites)

“I think the subsequent intelligence report we hear is more reliable. But you know that all this has to wait for a long-term situation where someone really needs to get in there and know. But the Iranians themselves said today that their nuclear program was so badly damaged, so we should rest on it,” Hume said.

DIA, Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and even the Iranian government Controversy A CNN report from Tuesday claimed that the US claims it is attacking Iran’s nuclear sites. CNN sources described the report as a “unreliable” rating, suggesting limited damages to several institutions, including the DIA and the Israeli Atomic Energy Commission. Rebuttal The strike had a major impact on Tehran’s nuclear capabilities.

White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt said Wednesday that the FBI is actively pursuing individuals responsible for leaking confidential information to CNN regarding damages to Iran’s nuclear facilities. Leavitt said the FBI is investigating a leak in a “top secret intelligence analysis” to news outlets.

At NATO summit on Wednesday, President Donald Trump told NBC News Kelly O’Donnell that DIA reports on the destruction of Iran’s nuclear sites were inadequate, based on initial assessments and did not fully capture the extent of the damage caused by the B-2 bombers. CNN issued A statement defending Bertrand’s report and argued that it was not “rational” to criticize journalists for accurately reporting on intelligence ratings.
