A shooting occurred at a crowded party in the early hours of Sunday, June 23rd, leaving nine people shot and four more injured.
At approximately 1:46 a.m., Montgomery Police Department and Firefighters responded to the area of North Pass Road and Alabama River Parkway for a report of a shooting victim. According to Mayor Steven Reed, they found one adult female and one juvenile male, both suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) are interviewing witnesses and suspects.
“More than 600 rounds were fired into a crowded party in the North Pass neighborhood this morning,” Montgomery Mayor Steven L. Reed said. “Nine people were injured and at least four more were injured in the ensuing chaos.”
“We are working hard to identify those involved and ask anyone with information to come forward and help us put an end to these senseless and violent acts.”
Automatic rifle fire hit Montgomery, and a video clip of the chaos was uploaded to Facebook.
