Volleyball Heads to Bozeman to Play Second Installment of Big Sky Conference

Flagstaff, Arizona (September 27, 2024) – The Northern Arizona women's volleyball team heads to Bozeman for its first road conference game to take on Montana State University. Northern Arizona is currently 7-5, 0-1 on the season, and Montana State is currently 2-10, 0-1.

The Lumberjacks are coming off a loss this week against preseason favorite Weber State. The Wildcats dominated the Jacks in straight sets, 25-22, 25-16, 25-21. The Bobcats also lost to Sacramento State in this week's Big Sky Conference opener. On Thursday night, the Hornets defeated Montana State, defeating the Bobcats in four sets 25-19, 21-25, 25-22, 25-17.

As a team, Montana State ranks 50th in the nation in total blocks with 108.5 and 53rd in blocks per set with 2.52. Last weekend, the Cats blocked opponents 2.09 to 1.91 per set, including a 10-5 advantage against #14 Arizona State.
