Tohatchi’s Ups and Downs: A Saturday Match Recap

Tohatchi had an impressive win against Laguna Accoma recently, taking it down with a 3-0 sweep. However, their latest match left them feeling a bit deflated. The Cougars faced the Tuba City Warriors and, unfortunately, lost with a score of 3-1.

The match started on a positive note for Tohatchi, winning the first set. But things took a turn, and they struggled to maintain that momentum, ultimately losing three consecutive sets. The final set scores were 24-26, 25-22, 25-19, and 25-21.

This defeat puts Tohatchi’s record at 6-3. On the other side, Tuba City celebrated their seventh win, improving their record to 11-5.

Looking ahead, both teams have important games lined up. Tohatchi will face Navajo Prep on Tuesday at 6 PM, holding a significant ranking advantage (37-136). Tuba City, ranked 78th, will be up against Chinle, sitting at 205th, on Monday at the same time.
