YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) – Temperatures are expected to be well above normal in the last day of January as a ridge of high pressure sinks across much of the western United States
Daytime highs across our region will approach or reach 80 degrees by Tuesday.
Later in the week, the low pressure system will return, bringing much cooler temperatures, balmy winds, and widespread rain to the desert southwest once again.
February is off to a wet start with a chance of rain Thursday, with up to 1/2 inch total possible throughout the day and evening.
Further weather disturbances are likely to affect the region early next week, with further rain possible.
Daytime highs will drop into the mid-60s later in the week and into the weekend.
