YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – Dry and warm conditions will prevail across the region starting Saturday, but a few afternoon showers and the possibility of isolated thunderstorms will remain in the highlands, mainly east of Phoenix and southern Gila County. It will continue.
Starting Sunday, temperatures are expected to rise slightly above average, with daily highs in the upper 70s to 80s through Wednesday.
Cloudy skies and afternoon winds are also expected for the first half of the week.
A weather system is likely to move through the region late next week, bringing locally stronger winds and a possible return to rain.
