Yuma, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) – Warmer than usual temperatures this week, but still colder than normal for June.
Winds pick up by evening, with west-southwest winds of 15 to 20 mph, decreasing to 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Winds can reach 25 mph.
More gusty winds and colder temperatures are expected over the next weekend with more turbulent weather across the region.

Below-normal temperatures will continue into the first half of next week, after which a warming trend will bring measurements back to near-normal by the second half of next week.

Wind gusts began to pick up Saturday evening and are expected to pick up further in Imperial County, with maximum gusts of up to 40 mph.
A patch of dust is likely in the valleys, which can make it difficult to get behind the wheel.

A continuous discharge from the Painted Rock Dam continues down the Gila River through Yuma County.
Flood warnings are in effect through at least June 13 along the Gila River between the Painted Rock Dam and the Colorado River.
