Warming into the weekend – KYMA

Yuma, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) – Clouds will increase by tonight and will be mostly cloudy by tomorrow.

The southwestern desert will have another cold night, not as cold as this morning, but still colder than normal.

Wear warm clothes, keep your pet indoors, and cover plants and pipes.

Stronger winds will return in the Yuma County area by tomorrow morning and afternoon, with maximum gusts of 20 MPH.

As the low-pressure trough begins to exit the region, high-pressure ridges will begin to develop and high temperatures will gradually warm over the weekend.

Drought update: Navajo, Apache, Coconino, and Yavapai Counties significantly improved from abnormally dry to drought-free.

The rest of Arizona hasn’t seen any improvement since last week, but it still seems fine.
