As a native DMV person, I couldn't be happier!
For the 2024-25 season 50th Anniversary To commemorate this special campaign for the Washington Capitals, the team will wear their iconic black Screaming Eagle jerseys for six home games at Capital One Arena.
The jersey's color scheme is black, blue and bronze, with the Capitol logo on the shoulders. The jersey is similar to the original one the Caps introduced in 1995. (RELATED: Sidney Crosby signs two-year contract extension with Pittsburgh Penguins with average annual salary of $8.7 million)
Washington uses elements from their first rebrand and first-ever third jersey, with a screaming eagle, naturally representing the national bird of the United States, two hockey sticks crossed behind the Capitol building on the shoulders, two stars in the background and a hockey puck in the center of the stick blade.
The Capitals' six games against the Screaming Eagles are as follows:
-Wednesday, November 6: vs. Nashville Predators
-Friday, November 29: vs. New York Islanders
-Tuesday, December 31: vs. Boston Bruins
-Saturday, January 18: vs. Pittsburgh Penguins
-Saturday, February 1st: vs. Winnipeg Jets
-April 13th (Sunday): vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

And we can’t help but say it…the Caesars Sportsbook ad actually makes the jerseys stand out even more.
