The Auburn University men's golf team will play in the national championship for the first time in the team's history. The Tigers will begin play on Wednesday at 5:00 PM CST at the Omni La Costa North Course in Carlsbad, California.
Auburn had an eventful Tuesday afternoon, winning the quarterfinals and semifinals against Virginia and Ohio State to earn a spot in the championship game. Auburn will face the Florida State Seminoles, also making their first appearance in the championship game.

Auburn is Sensational freshman Jackson KoivunThe Hogan Haskins Award winner made the winning putts in both matches, including on the 21st hole.st Semi-final hole.
“We have a lot on the line here to play for,” Koiven said. “I didn't want to let my team, my school or my coaches down.”
The Tigers head coach also weighed in on what the team has accomplished and what it still needs to do.
“It's been a great year, but we're not done yet,” head coach Nick Clinard said. “The job isn't done. We're playing a great Florida State team. It's going to be an all-out battle tomorrow.”
