University of Alabama head football coach Karen DeBoer was introduced to students and fans Tuesday night at the basketball game against Missouri State at Coleman Coliseum.
“It's really great to be here,” DeBoer said.
“This has happened really quickly. We have a lot of great news regarding staff recruitment. I can't wait to infiltrate myself into this community. What a special place. What a special place, but standard is Alabama. The standard is Alabama! We can't wait to be here and let's continue to support all our sports teams. Roll Tide!”

DeBoer has been well-received since taking over as Alabama's head coach, with a large crowd showing up to welcome him as he arrived at the Tuscaloosa Regional Airport on Friday night.

But the additional 30-day portal window given to Crimson Tide players due to the head coach's exit clause requires players to enter the portal left and right, limiting his work.
Most of Coach DeBoer's staff has been replaced, but he must now focus on replacing the players currently on the roster with those who left.
