You should start this… the “laughter of the day” blog.

And to kick things off, I heard from my old footsteps in central Pennsylvania about the Double-A minor league baseball game between the Bowie Baysocks and Altoona Curb.

In the top of the third, Bowie’s Coby Mayo hit a home run off Altoona’s Aaron Shortridge to make it 1-0 for the Bay Sox. Two of him, a child and a husky, were chasing the ball when the home run hit the grass behind the fence. As the two close in, the husky crashes to the ground and burns up, allowing the kid to easily steal the ball and escape. And the poor big man seemed to be left there.

It’s fun for any person to fall, but it’s even more so if you’re a big person. And I’m saying this as a husky guy myself. I mean, seriously, what do you want to see? Will the normal looking guy fall to the ground or will the husky guy crash?

It must definitely be the latter.

But I feel sorry for him. Because this “laughter of the day” can set him completely free of embarrassment. Not only did my guy trip, he lost the ball, the kid straight up left him there. I was just lucky that the cameras didn’t stop at him and the announcers didn’t rush at him. In reality, the situation could have been much worse. (Related: Holy Cow! But well, at least he’ll go viral and start a possible “laughter of the day” blog series.

It’s better than leaving embarrassed and empty-handed.
