Roginski said Democrats have abandoned common sense and are alienating voters with politically correct language and unnecessary virtue signaling.

“We are not a party of common sense, and that is the message that voters have sent us for a variety of reasons,” Roginsky said. For a variety of reasons, we don’t know how to talk to voters. When we address Latinas and language, listen, language has meaning. ”

The strategist also said there was too much emphasis on specialized appeals shaped by focus groups, rather than tackling the big, simple problems that matter to everyone. She called on Democrats to return to straightforward, easy-to-understand language that resonates with everyday people.

“We need to get back to being a sensible party, where people look at us and say, we understand you, we speak our language and we appreciate what you have to say. Until we do that, we should stop blaming others for our mistakes,” she continued.

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Harris’ loss could be due to things like voters’ sexist attitudes. She said naming Ms Harris would ignore broader systemic issues within the party and the country.
