Have you ever seen hail at an NFL game? (I don’t think you have)
On Sunday, the Arizona Cardinals played the Chicago Bears at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, and at some point during the game it started to rain. Then, the situation escalated rapidly when hail started to fall. This scene caused the Cardinals to close their retractable roof, which remained open because no severe weather was forecast.
Problem solved, right? (Related article: Saquon Barkley pulls off a ‘How the hell did he do that?’ play that he’ll never make in the NFL)
No. The retractable roof moves slowly, so the card roof takes a total amount of time. 10 minutes To shut it out completely. As a result, Arizona and Chicago had to play football in a hailstorm, which made for quite the spectacle.
