Yuma, AZ (KYMA, KECY-TV) – Light to windy conditions today with stronger winds expected in the Imperial Valley.
A high wind advisory is currently in effect for Imperial County through midnight.
Strong westerly winds of 20-30 MPH are expected, with gusts of up to 45 MPH expected.

The Imperial County APCD has issued an Air Quality Alert due to increased particulate matter from tonight’s dust splash in the Imperial Valley.

Flood warnings have been extended through 5 p.m. Friday, April 21 along the Gila River near Tacna, Arizona.
This is due to the release of an upstream dam, which could cause flooding along the Gila River downstream of Painted Rock.
If you encounter a flood, be sure to remember to ‘turn around and don’t drown’.
