The suspect wrapped a chain around the store’s door and yanked the door open with a truck that was reported stolen, MCSO said.
We embarked on Loop 303 below the speed limit when a deputy arrived and tried to stop the truck.
Officials deployed spike sticks and deflated two tires, but the truck continued at speeds of 30 to 35 mph.
MCSO helicopters and the Arizona Department of Public Safety joined the chase.
The truck exited Loop 303 at Bell Road and re-entered the freeway in the wrong direction. Law enforcement officials warned oncoming traffic and drove ahead to close the freeway ramps in the area.
On Happy Valley Road, a DPS unit rammed a truck to a halt.
Two men whom the MCSO said showed signs of being under influence were detained without incident.
