The second annual Wetumpka Wildlife Art Festival will be held next month on the banks of the Coosa River in downtown Wetumpka.

The event, hosted by the Kelly Fitzpatrick Center for the Arts, is scheduled for Nov. 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“The Wetumpka Wildlife Arts Festival has quickly become one of the state’s top events dedicated to outdoor recreation and conservation,” said Thomas Harris, founder of the Alabama Black Belt Adventure Association . Mr. Harris’ family partnered with Kelly and the City of Wetumpka to launch the festival. “This year’s event schedule is full of great things, and we hope people will join us for this event that aims to showcase Wetumpka and provide a day of family fun.”

“We are thrilled to welcome nationally renowned wildlife artists from across the Southeast and will be featuring Dirk Walker, Sue We’re especially excited to have Key, Jeannie Edwards and Bucky Bowles on board.”

“We are honored and excited to partner with Kelly and be a small part of the Wetumpka Wildlife Arts Festival,” said ALBBAA Director Pam Swanner. “Last year’s first event was great, but we hope this year will be bigger, better and more fun for everyone who comes to downtown Wetumpka for this year’s festival.”

The festival will feature cooking demonstrations from James Beard Foundation Award-winning chef Chris Hastings, animal exhibits from the Alabama Wildlife Federation, and “Build Your Own Wooden Duck Box” from the Alabama Black Belt Adventure Society. , there will be sporting dog demonstrations by Wildrose Kennels and Dock Dogs. , a new dog competition.
