What a huge disappointment.

The Waste Management Phoenix Open should get a new sponsor. Because it ruined what WM perfectly represented: a legendary tournament full of hecklers, drunken idiots, and fistfights. Well, it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. But unfortunately, that's coming to an end, at least in its current version.

Here in 2024, things have certainly gotten a little out of control (but isn't it unbelievable?). That led to the latest decision at the Phoenix Open.

A certain amount of shenanigans have been encouraged at the WM Phoenix Open over the past few years, but it looks like the line between harmless fun and outright clowning has finally been crossed.

I already mentioned what happened, but there was also an incident where several golfers (Zach Johnson and Billy Horschel) were verbally abusive towards hecklers. Yes, it got a little weird.

As a result, both tournament organizers and the PGA Tour are planning “complete changes” starting next year.
