White House reveals plans to nominate Alabamians to U.S. district courts

Trump’s Judicial Nominations for Alabama

On Tuesday, President Trump revealed his plans to nominate Slate, a judicial candidate put forward by Alabama Senators Katie Britt and Tommy Tuberville.

“As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I’ve worked hard to highlight Alabama’s conservative values in our reviews of federal judicial candidates,” Tuberville stated. “It’s crucial that judges uphold the law in line with the Constitution, rather than making rulings that seem like new legislation. I fully back President Trump’s nominees to fill three federal judicial vacancies in Alabama. They’ll really help us, and I’m eager to get them confirmed.”

“The White House has done a fantastic job with these Alabama candidates,” Tuberville added. “Since President Trump took office, activist judges have tried their utmost to derail his agenda. That doesn’t fly in Alabama while I’m in charge. These candidates are dedicated to restoring law and order, ensuring safety for everyone in Alabama.”
