‘Who The F*ck Voted For Her?’: Charlamagne And Andrew Schulz Spar Over Dems ‘Usurping Democracy’ With Harris

In a podcast posted Friday, radio host Charmagne the God and comedian Andrew Schultz discussed how Vice President Kamala Harris became the presumptive Democratic nominee and whether the party has ignored democracy.

“But she got the votes,” Charmagne retorted.

Harris received 844 votes in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary but zero delegates in the process. according to On to election data.

“Who the hell voted for her?” Schultz asked.

Charlaman said that because Harris is Biden's vice president, any vote for Biden is a vote for Harris.

“When I voted for Barack Obama, I was not voting for Joe Biden,” Schultz argued.

“Yes it was,” Charmagne replied.

Schultz said that if Harris had run in the primary, “no one would have voted for her.”

“I think what you're saying right now is that Democrats are hijacking our democracy and not allowing the people to have their vote count,” the comedian added. “I'm not saying that Republicans aren't hijacking our democracy too. This isn't a matter of comparison.”

Progressive voters in Wisconsin said on MSNBC on Thursday that they planned to vote for Harris in November but expressed frustration with how she has become the de facto Democratic nominee.

Doug Shawn, an adviser to former President Bill Clinton, said Tuesday that Democrats' process also has problems.

“I have an issue with the process that was put in place to approve her nomination so quickly. There was no mini-primary, there was no open convention,” Shawn said. “Basically the deal was done in 48 hours. I have an issue with that.”
