Wild Video Appears To Show Driver Throwing Dog Out Vehicle During Police Chase That Ended In Head-On

The suspect allegedly tried to evade a California Highway Patrol (CHP) vehicle pursuit on Thursday and ended up colliding head-on with a third vehicle, according to multiple reports.

A KTLA reporter describing the high-speed chase in a 30-minute video opined that the dog was either thrown or fell from the vehicle. The announcer reported that the driver had previously been seen on video appearing to struggle with something inside the vehicle during the pursuit.

KTLA 5 reports that the suspect allegedly crashed into two vehicles during a high-speed pursuit that exceeded 80 miles per hour. The pursuit effectively ended when the suspect crashed head-on into a red car at 90 mph, TMZ reports. report. However, the suspect continued to resist arrest, and police had no choice but to use non-lethal means to break the window and arrest him, the paper reported.

The suspect had blood stains on his face from the experience, KTLA 5 reported. TMZ reports that the two drivers he allegedly hit were not seriously injured and were able to leave the vehicle. According to KTLA 5, the circumstances of the suspect and dog are unknown at this time.
