Morenci – The Morenci Wildcats, coached by Christopher Aguaro, welcome the North Region Eager Round Valley Elks on Wednesday, March 22. This is the last home game during school spring break.
Morenci will be in Bisbee on Monday 20th March for the regionals this week (March 20-25). Tombstone said she will be visiting Wilcox on Tuesday, March 21st. Bisbee visits Wilcox and Tombstone visits Santa Rita. Benson will visit Wilcox on her Saturday, March 25th.

Bisbee defeated the San Miguel Catholic Vipers 32-0 in five innings in Tucson (February 28), defeated the Desert Christian Eagles 6-2 in Tucson (March 3), and beat the Santa Rita Eagles to five. We beat them 19-0 in an inning (March 8). Pima Roughriders 6-3 (14 March). The loss was 212 to the Bobcats in Benson (March 7).
The Pumas opened the season in a shortened game at the two-day Phoenix Brugade Catholic Tournament, beating the Arizona Lutheran Coyotes 6-3 in six innings (February 24) before losing three. Losses were 3-4 to the Lakeside Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets (February 24), 5-6 to the Payson Longhorns (February 25) and 5-7 to the Phoenix Christian Cougars (February 25).

Round Valley went 19-2 in five innings against the White River Alchesey Falcons (27 February) and 12-1 in five innings against the Holbrook Roadrunners (8 March) in three seeding games. recorded two wins. Losing to Miami he went 1-9 to the Vandals (March 10).

The Wildcats opened the season with a 7-8 loss to the Vandals in Miami (February 27), losing three and drawing in a shortened game at a three-day tournament in Florence. . Losses were 2-10 to the Winkelman Hayden Lobos (March 2), 3-4 to the Shaw Low Cougars (March 3) and 4-8 to the Florence Gophers (March 4). The draw was 1–1 with the Gloves Tigers (3 March).

A total of three runs were scored by the visiting Bobcats in the undefeated regional team competition. When seven batters stepped into the plate in the fifth inning, two crossed the plate, and in the seventh, six batters crossed one. The Bobcats had four or fewer batters up in each of the previous four innings, going up three in both the second and third and downing three.
The scoreless deadlock was broken when two bean batters reached first and a one-out defensive error loaded the bases. Morenci sent six batters in the sixth inning with the bases loaded with one out, but ended the scoring threat with two strikeouts. The Wildcats sent his 4, 5, 5, 3, 4, 6, and 4 during the game.
Aguaro said the Wildcats played well after the game. It didn’t end with a ‘W’ for the home team. They were faced with a situation they had never experienced before, and they used that experience for the next time.
