The Prescott National Forest and the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Control responded to a wildfire south of Meyer near Pine Flat at 67 Forest Road, Monday, February 10th at 3pm due to a 400-acre wildfire.
Prescott’s hotshot, several engines, and a type 2 crew were on the scene and began restraining efforts. Bradefire burns brushes and grass. Smoke can be seen from surrounding communities such as Prescott, Chino Valley, Prescott Valley, Crown King, and perhaps Verde Valley. Additional resources have been ordered, including air support.
The approaching storm will deliver a gust of southwesterly winds for the next few days. You will have the opportunity to increase your water content from Tuesday to Wednesday. There could be snow on Wednesday, but the forecast is that there is little or no accumulation.
Firefighters use a complete control strategy to achieve 100% containment of Brady fires. The cause of the Brady fire is under investigation.
